Snowfall is getting severe in winter season as the climate is changing. Accordingly people should spend more time and money in maintaining road, walking paths, parking lots to remove snow and ice in winter season. There have been many developments to replace rock salts, which is being mostly used as deicer today, but failed to spread them out due to expensive costse when compared to their efficiency.

Rock salts or calcium chloride, which are chloride-lon-based deicers are harmful to environment and very corrosive. Thus, the deicing products today causes many problems to vehicles, building fixtures and finally to environment by spoiling water, vagetation, and microorganism. Nevertheless, the fact is that those chloride-based deicers are being mostly used because any alternatives are not satisfing both in their effectiveness and costing.

It’s proven sientifically that chloride-based deicers are harm to plants, vegetables and other living organisms and can cause various skin problems on human body and animals.
